Why did you give your female main character the trauma of being sexually abused if you were going to have Garret manipulate her into kissing him while she is thinking "Just do it, you don't even have to like it" the whole time? At the podium in the lecture hall, Professor Tolbert delivers what I’ve come to refer to as the Disappointment Speech. It’s the third one in six weeks. Even though he needs the money to support his family, Michael resolves to assist Stella so that nobody else might be able to make use of her generosity and naivety.

Although it seems like a simple arrangement, Garrett must figure out how to convince Hannah that he is the appropriate person for her after a few embraces that lead to more. If you enjoyed The Deal, you’ll love this selection of books with a similar theme. I really really loved The Deal. It's one of my favourite books of the year and I was hoping it would come out as an audiobookMy palms go clammy as I stare at his handsome profile. He’s new to Briar this year, but I’m not sure which college he transferred from, and although he wasted no time becoming the star wide receiver on the football team, he’s not like the other athletes at this school. He doesn’t strut through the quad with one of those I’m-God’s-gift-to-the-world smirks or show up with a new girl on his arm every day. I’ve seen him laugh and joke with his teammates, but he gives off an intelligent, intense vibe that makes me think there are hidden depths to him. Which just makes me all the more desperate to get to know him. The side characters are pretty great too. And I’m talking about Hannah and Garrett’s friends. There’s some angst and drama, but don’t worry, they are low. Avery needed to get away from her past, just like Hannah and other characters in works like The Deal, so she chooses to enroll in a college where no one will recognize her. I tend to stay away from the NA genre. I have an 18 year old son away in college. Don't want to be imagining all the shenanigans that he might be getting up to. But I have read a few good college books. This was the final straw for her stepfather, so he sends her to her mother’s homeland, where her biological father also passed away, so she can discover a hobby other than partying and learn to value money.

Jase is well known for his promiscuity and excessive drinking, but now that Avery is in his life, he wants to change for the better.First, let me thank you Elle Kennedy for letting me know that there’s a profession called “Fluffers” and what they do. (Seriously, I was probably the only person who had NO IDEA about that.)

Delicious, complicated and drama-filled . . . I read it in one sitting, and you will, too’ L. J. Shen, USA Today bestselling author Similar to works like The Deal, the arrangement begins as a way to help Stella cross off her list of dating-related goals, but as the two get to know one another better, deeper feelings become inevitable.

Mr. Football... He knows she is interested in this guy...and knows he has the bait... he will pretend to date her so she is seen as taken, popular, and out of reach... everything a guy sees and makes him interested. It takes some convincing but finally Hannah is on board. She will only tutor him for this one make-up mid-term...he will take her around to a frat party he knows this guy will be ... make it look like they are together and hook her up with a date with her goal guy. Easy peasy.... It is so cute watching the guy who everyone swooned over know what it was like to have the shoe on the other foot. With all of that, though, they stand behind their daughter... give her the emotional support she needs, and just are there for her even though they are miles away. It is with this type of love, Hannah is who she is. She is a girl who has been challenged like many... hurt like many, yet through counseling and fortitude, learned to do as she was guided... "Take Baby Steps". She is a very pretty, natural girl. Extremely talented in the musical arts and when she sings the world drops away. She is a junior in the music program at Briar University on full scholarship. This does not pay for her food, books, and other living expenses. She also waits tables at a 50's inspired diner not far from campus. She shares her dorm room with her friend who is always trying to get her out and to parties. They both look after each other. Why did Garret have to write a paper on philosophers who justified what happened in Nazi Germany? Why did you let your character say: "I finally got this Nazi thing down" when he finally aced his homework? Avery has to learn to take things more slowly and trust others to handle her responsibilities after a traffic accident renders her immobilized for several months. She must also rely on Declan, her former roommate and best friend, who is now her caretaker.

Being the sister of an esteemed NHL player hasn’t always been simple for Stevie, but it has its advantages, such as a penthouse where she can hide if she discovers her partner having an affair.Hannah has survived rape in her past and is a witty, resilient and strong heroine. Remnants of the rape have left her insecure in certain areas. I truly loved how she slowly begins to trust her friendship with Garrett and embracing what they find in one another. Hannah was bold and I think their combined personalities is one of the things that made me fall for them as a couple so very hard.
