To the predators.. Weinstein, the stranger, the relative, the boyfriend…. I say to you, 'You can choose your sin but you don't get to choose the consequences.' To the victims…. I see you. I believe you… and I'm listening." Then, shortly before Viola graduated high school, she was selected to go to Miami, Florida for the 'Arts Recognition and Talent Search' competition. There Viola was named a 'Promising Young Artist' which eventually led to a scholarship to Rhode Island College.

The relationship I have to the question, Who am I helped me love Ms. Davis more. Which I didn’t think I could or needed. If you missed Viola Davis’ fascinating interview with British TV presenter Maverine Cole for Fane online and you’ve not yet watched the iconic interview with the Hollywood actress and television legend Oprah Winfrey Oprah + Viola: A Netflix Special Event then you’re in for a treat.

I also love her story about her hubby, chiiiiiiile— AINT NOTHING LIKE A SOUTHERN MAN… I too, tend to lean towards them as well because they simply understand so much! This is not a diss to any other men in the world, cause #IYKYK 😘 and there it is.

Read an Exclusive Excerpt From the Call Me by Your Name Sequel, Find Me". Vanity Fair. 11 October 2019 . Retrieved 2019-10-11. This book is a testament to resilience, hard work, and the power of owning your truth." Real Simple What an amazing memoir! Viola is one of my favorite actresses- but I knew very little about her private life. This book was a huge surprise to me. I was absolutely riveted to both the e-book and the audiobook. I honestly have no words- One simply must experience this memoir for themselves to truly appreciate it.

The way in which I can relate to this memoir is astounding… I had no clue that I shared so many things with Miss. Vee! Michelle's incredible story of survival is truly inspirational. While this is not a self-help book, it is a Master Class on surviving, living better, achieving, and perseverance. In those ways, I found this book both moving and helpful when looking at my own life. STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND RUN, RUUUNNN TO THE BOOKSTORE AND BUY THIS BOOK, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! ITS A TOPS!!! 💚💚💚 My heart ached for them. To know that this was not just one day but 11 years of constant torture for Knight is horrifying. To know that she was subjected to constant beatings, continuous rapes and starvation by a mad man everyday...I just could not...could not begin to understand...

Aware of Ms. Davis’s childhood prior to this book see her relationship to those events in a new light. One that split the darkness of mine. I have a great deal of compassion for other people, but mostly for myself. That would not be the case if I did not reconcile that little eight-year-old girl and FIND ME. I’m going to go crazy if I try to say here all the things I really want to say…..and readers who are kind enough to read this review will go nuts if I ‘do’ write all I have to say….(so I’ll never succeed)….I’ll be adding and doing a full review. Couldn’t wait to share because of the size of the vibe and importance to me. Maybe you as well. I’ve honestly been avoiding reviewing this book since I finished reading it. I didn’t find the subject matter too heavy (at least for me) or find that it was poorly written. However, I did struggle to connect with the author and as a result to the events. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose and my strength, but also to finding my voice in a world that didn't always see me. Neither were interviews about what it’s like being Viola now, a household movie-star; but a chance to hear about her life before the camera, the battles that have shaped her and the inner strength she uncovered that guided her to living as her authentic self. Showing us her vulnerability, passion and personality, the interviews are avid viewing. Barely out of her own tumultuous childhood, Michelle was estranged from her family and fighting for custody of her young son when she disappeared. Local police believed she had run away, so they removed her from the missing persons lists fifteen months after she vanished. Castro tormented her with these facts, reminding her that no one was looking for her, that the outside world had forgotten her. But Michelle would not be broken.
