About this deal

The keyboard works perfectly with both operating systems, right down to the extra buttons such as volume control/mute! The speed of inserting characters or responding to mouse movement are no different to my built-in laptop keyboard or mouse. In terms of power, it features a low-battery light indicator and utilizes a power management system to extend the life of the batteries. That is to say the build quality looks and feels like something that isn't going to break if you stare at it the wrong way. Edit: It's now the end of March (bought this on the 10th Dec 11) and I've been using it heavily since then every day on the net, on forums, gaming, pretty much everything.

The instructions say press and hold the pairing button at the bottom, but I do not see a pairing button? It has a calculator button which is quite useful, plus volume control and play/pause both of which I keep forgetting about! Pro Tip: Before troubleshooting, read the instruction manual or online documentation from Microsoft – this will help you connect and maintain your wireless keyboard. Oh, and the "Windows" keys are neatly moulded with the windows logo so that you can actually feel them when your eyes aren't on the keyboard. gigahertz (GHz) wireless technology, which delivers a reliable connection with up to a 9-metre/30-foot range, with virtually no interference. As a gamer I find the arrow keys are especially well placed, not having that awful gap between them and the rest of the keyboard that makes your fingers ache. The keyboard has a solid red light, and the PC is able to connect to the wireless mouse but not to the wireless keyboard. When I bought it I was a little bit skeptical as I've never used a wireless keyboard before and I'm not very tech smart so I wasn't sure I'd know how to set it up, however it was a breeze to get it going with my computer! After correcting this, my new wireless keyboard connected instantly, saving me stress during my project. For my purposes their low profile makes them harder to hit by mistake and forces you to actually look at the button you want to press.

The mute and volume buttons are very handy too, if you were using this to control a computer linked to a big TV they would be even more so. That said, the keyboard is neat and otherwise pleasant to use, but I knocked off one star for the colour, spacing, and readability. It’s popular with professionals and gamers alike, so you know you’re getting a great keyboard with a reliable history of wireless tech success.

You have volume controls and a battery light which will light up when it is time to replace the batteries. I bought this combo to replace a wired PS/2 keyboard/mouse (the mouse wasn't even optical, so an additional annoyance was that the ball needed cleaning all the time). The full-size concave keys improve speed and accuracy by making it easier to locate and press the numbers you are looking for. So over all having looked at many more expensive keyboards in person at the likes of PC World and have a play with the keys, for the money this out shines them all and is a very worthwhile solution to your typing needs. I can't get my keyboard to work, I've changed the batteries, but the light still doesn't come on, how can I report keyboard problems to you when it doesn't work? The mouse just goes mad after I have been using it for about 5 minutes and the keyboard is fine if you are only typing a little but beyond that it starts to miss out letters. And is it possible to plug a mouse from another company into one port, and have only the keyboard in use in the other?
