Although not the most frightening of books it was certainly spine tingling, I'm not easily scared but the book managed to create such realistic visions of the demons in my mind, even the finest of details being given to us by the narator - Grubitsch 'Grubbs' Grady.

He refuses to respond to treatment until he is visited by his father's younger brother, Dervish Grady, who tells Grubbs that he knows demons exist and convinces Grubbs to finally accept help. But after some days his sis comes in and gifts him something, says something good and informs him that his punishment has come to an end. In Lord Loss, the title character is first seen killing the family of our protagonist, Grubbs, accompanied by Vein and Artery.

Grubbs lies to Bill-E, telling him that Dervish used a calming spell to try to cure his lycanthropy. Lord Loss is not seen until the plane scene where he and his demons start killing people on the plane. This never stays, as I've found - especially considering there are at least ten more of these books to go. While he claims he does not fear Beranabus, he is nonetheless unwilling to face the Demonata's deadliest enemy in direct combat. Lord Loss masterminded the cruel plot to slowly drag Kernel towards him and, using the First Board stolen from the Druid Drust in Bec, let him realize the truth about Art. Usually, in books and movies, the character accepts that magic and monsters exists, whereas Grubbs is placed in an asylum and refuses to believe it himself.Our team is made up of book lovers who are dedicated to sourcing and providing the best books for kids.
