The instrumentation is as it should be for rock fans, a fairly obvious Bob Marley cover for stoners and college kids, and enough soulful vocals from figurehead Lauryn Hill to middle-aged listeners still on the fence about hip-hop.The album features a wide range of samples and instrumentation, with many aspects of alternative hip hop that would come to dominate the scene in the mid-late 90's. Most versions of the album feature four bonus tracks, including three remixes of ""Fu-Gee-La"", and a short acoustic Wyclef Jean solo track entitled ""Mista Mista"". Coincidentally, Hill would meet and subsequently start dating Marley’s son, Rohan a few months after the release of this album.
