There wasn’t much flash on these figures at all, just a few bits of venting that were easily removed. While not cheap in comparison to plastics, in comparison to the equivalent 28mm metals these are a bargain. Where your army of choice no longer appears in the new books we will accept old lists on a case by case basis. I’m aiming for around 3 cavalry for Light Horse, 4-5 cavalry for Cavalry, one elephant and a few hangers on for Elephant bases, 4 infantry for Skirmishers, 8-10 for Medium and Heavy Foot, and around 24 for Pike blocks.

Obviously any 15mm WW2 minis are going to be compared to Battlefront’s extensive Flames of War line. In the first half of the book the attacks in nearby settlements and farms are described and in the second the siege. On Page 4 for the Path of the Ravager Barbarian, in the maneuvers they can learn along with "General" one's are from the Emerald Hammer, Lion's Roar, and Serpent Flash Disciplines. As with my previous review the casting is clear and crisp, except for the neck area (which is hidden once you have completed assembly).While the result looks great, this is not a model I would recommend to someone who has not worked with larger multi-piece metal models before. Of course these are all new castings coming from new molds so we will have to see how Forged in Battle does with quality over time. While the casting of the cavalry models could have been better, this was more apparent because of the excellent casting of the models on foot which provided such a contrast. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
