O’Carroll’s life was very different than what I had imagined; and it was fun to read how his famous mammy came into being.

One thing I love about the show is how much of his immediate family (partner/kids/old friends) are involved and that really comes through with the inner warmth and heart of the show. I always wondered about the background of Brendon O'Caroll, especially as I have worked in the area of Finglas where he is from , and where Mrs Brown is based.
