Over the years, I continued to read each new offering in the series, with the exception of the last book written, 'Y is for Yesterday'. I first read Grafton's alphabet series many many years ago and decided to start them again on my kindle mainly because Millhone herself was still very memorable to me even though I can remember nothing of the stories themselves.

I began reading the 'alphabet 'series written by Sue Grafton when the first book, 'A is for Alibi' featuring private detective Kinsey Millhone, was published in 1982.Grafton's style is characteristic of hardboiled detective fiction, according to the authors of ' G' is for Grafton, who describe it as "laconic, breezy, wise-cracking".
