To cover the needs of your OS, games, and apps, HP EliteDesk 800 G2 SFF supports up to 64 GB of DIMM DDR4-2133 RAM. For office work, home use, and light gaming we recommend 8GB of RAM. For everything else, use 16GB or more. Another viable option for upgrading is to use Xeon. Xeon E3-1230 v3 is a great alternative to the 4th gen i7 and an upgrade over the i5 due to the additional 4 threads. Very often this model will be cheaper than an i7.
