Once introductions were made, I was super impressed with how much conflict she stuffed within these pages. The Hike will be published in ebook, hardback and audiobook formats on 27 April, with the paperback to follow in September. There are some scenarios where time seems to stand still which are really good as you are anticipating the next bad thing. But with the weather coming in and the mountain peak looming, will this foursome make it back alive? Each of them at different times could be annoying or irritating but that's what made the story saucy, spicy and oh.

I purchased this book on audio myself, I want to have the hardcover of this book on my shelf its a goodie! But soon, he is given a mission: to find someone known as The Producer, supposedly the creator of this crazy world he’s found himself in. The “story”, as it is, keeps going on like this, as Ben spirals deeper into despair, wondering if he’ll ever see his family again.

As the title suggests, it centres around a hike – a hiking holiday, to be precise – of four life-long friends. If I had to name my absolute favorite part of this book, however, it would have to be the relationships at the center of the plot. Wren’s sketchbook is an added bonus to this book and cleverly weaves more information about the hike for readers to appreciate and perhaps even inspire to complete a hike themselves.

Funny enough Joni was my favorite one, definitely not a coke addict fan but she had all the right rockstar vibes. Speaking of the plot, well-written and beautifully organized, this multiple POV storyline took me on quite the ride. This is also the first time I've read a Lucy Clarke, and I'd def visit her backlist if I'm in the need for a similar read. I also enjoyed how we got to know each of the women more, along with their back stories as the book unfolded.
