I’ve made a thousand mistakes in my life, and I might make a thousand more, but walking away from you won’t be one of them. What I liked most about this book was it was about two people discovering they could be so much more than the box they put themselves in. Theo MacLeod is HOT with dark hair, dark eyes, and a muscular body that would make Roman statues weep in envy. All of the secondary characters did their part and if you had any doubt, I Could Read Melanie Harlow All Day Long. When our leading couple first met it to set up a one evening gig - he was to be her 'partner' at a wedding to save face after she kinda made up a boyfriend when put on the spot.

But they both felt drawn to each other and what started as a fake relationship turned into something real. I don't care that he went to prison, I care that I am reading a book about a 29 year old lying her ass off over something absurdly shallow like she's the main character in parent trap. The fact that she doesn’t take risks and lacks a bit of self-confidence didn’t bother me too much, mainly because her character development was very well done.If you’re anything like me and love fun, sexy reads with a damaged and tortured hero who make you feel deeply, then definitely give this a go. But at the same time, she often can bring a very serious depth to her stories that really rounds them out beautifully. This poor hero is genuinely broken and it was both heart-breaking and heart-warming to watch them find a way to make things work. Because his brother was proving to Theo that he could choose to stay and choose to let go of his fear, which then allowed him to give up alcohol, it motivated Theo to make better choices too. The part of the contract where we both acknowledge that there will be absolutely no sexual contact whatsoever.

I loved that there wasn’t any ow/om drama, and just dealt with Claire and Theo needing to growth within themselves.This is a story of two people who are complete opposites in every way but find so much comfort in each other. And so when her co-worker asks her if she’s coming alone (again), she lies and tells her she’s finally bringing a plus one; this time in the form of a Ryan Gosling look-a-like who’s a rock star in bed. Whenever I read a Melanie Harlow book I have an overwhelming desire to stalk handsome men on Instagram. She’s going to a wedding, and if she has to sit at the awful singles table one more time… well, not this time. I’m incredibly proud of Claire for standing up after falling down, and learning from their relationship and what Theo told her.

Give her a colorful wardrobe, a love for dinosaurs, a river rock collection, give her a personality next time, maybe that's what they're missing. Well, that is the catalyst for Claire to step out of her carefully, safely constructed life and do something she never, ever thought she would. God forbid we get a female character that doesn't act like her only value in existence is to look pretty and have someone love her.Without proper explanation, many of the things he did would have frustrated me to no end, but in the chapters that were told from his POV, she really did a fantastic job of showing WHY he kept fucking up, how badly he was hurting, how deeply he really cared for Claire, and how, even though he might not be making the right choices, that he was trying to heal and trying to be better… for her. And the reason why I’m going to say this was a basic read was because I cannot even tell you what happened in the book without a quick glance at the synopsis. But when Claire sets up a meeting with “Fred” a few days before the wedding, he’s not at all what he looks like in the catalog. Oh did this story leap to life, making me fly to the sky with butterflies in my belly and hope in my heart.
