Description

I don't fully understand how the channel number system works. I used to enter 101 and get BBC1 now in Non freesat mode BBC1 is obtained by typing 5027. The Foxsat Twonky media server should be on the list of current active servers on your network. The list comes from a seperate DLNA index database (nothing to do with samba external drive mapping in windows)

With recession looming, perhaps you fancy spending your redundancy pay on Freesat, bearing in mind that you’ll have no ongoing costs. In those terms then the FOXSAT-HDR makes perfect sense, giving you access to the current paltry HD offering, but more importantly giving you the promise of more in the future. With this box under your HD TV, you are poised to exploit new channels as they become available. I want to add a new satellite into my Humax Foxsat HDR. But I can't see any option in the menu to add a new satellite. E-g: INTELSAT 17 at 66.0°E Please note that once you perform Freesat Tune, all Freesat channels will be deleted. Select Yes and press the OK button to delete all freesat channels.

FOXSAT-HDR

When I go in to Media Library I notice that instead of BBC Two HD it shows the channel number next to the file name. I'll try to take a picture when I get home. Question 3) Can non-freesat recordings manually set on remote rather than web? Although it is nice to do on web so that I can type the programme name but having to turn off the machine every time is not ideal.

Choose the Transponder or transponders to be searched, by default all transponders will be searched. HUMAX products use certain open source operating system software distributed pursuant to GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 2 and GNU LESSER GENERAL LICENSE Version 2.1 each as defined and published by the Free Software Foundation, Inc. The Humax FOXSAT-HDR, uses a Linux operating system and the hard drive is formatted using the EXT2 file system. Even in non freesat mode there is no option to add a new satellite. I will look into the Radyon firmware update.Over ethernet you do not specify how you are copying vis the share (smb) or ftp. I suspect ftp may handle multiple streams better. It is quite some time since I had a Foxsat but it was never that fast.

Bit confused by the filename of "raydon_s_Media_and_File_Server_Bundle_for_the_Foxsat_HDR_release_4.1.3" that the 4.13 link goes to in post #1. Is the CF bundled within that as the filename makes no reference to CF? You must be talking about the custom firmware add on available from AV Forums. There are too many options to discuss here. It's actually very easy to set up and use. Under Setup, you can configure the installation settings, perform a Freesat Tune, Manual Tune, update software and restore the receiver to its Factory settings. Also I forgot to mention above would you know why channel names are not shown properly. For non-freesat channels I understand it shows 5000+ number but even for Freesat channels it appears to show channel number not name apart from ITV when I go into library.

Welcome Guest

To set a recording on say Channel 4 HD once you have used the channel editor to make Channel 4 HD visible in freesat mode. WARNING: Please note that once you perform Factory Reset, all data such as the antenna setting information, channel list and all user configured data will be deleted.
