I definitely recommend keeping your old mattress if you plan on washing everything before using it or having a backup safe sleeping option available, like a pack and play. I recently read that it’s not recommended to reuse a crib mattress from a sibling…any thoughts on this? Which also makes it less likely my baby will get too hot as our upstairs tends to get a little stuffy. I have really bad anxiety and the breathability/helping baby not overheat is a really big deal to me, plus it is so easy to clean!
