The base is sea salt which I sware you can tell in the open, amber and ambergris which continue to give it a handhold into Invictus.

These emphasise the masculinity and can be combined well with other scents of pepper, cinnamon or nutmeg.the drydown is ambery salty and maybe a little synthetic but thats a high quality synthetic for sure. The most noticeable opening to dry-down changes in this fragrance is the mostly orange blossom and whiskey notes which are alone for a brief moment during the opening, these notes continue into the dry-down, however, the noticeable animalic ambergris and ambery develop towards the dry-down. Invictus Intense removes citrus common in Invitus and its flankers to this point as an actual note, how ever you still get the feel of the original.
