Apparently this was a birthday gift, and one that she didn't get to use much since they moved house around the time she got it. I noticed all the little details in my house and came to the conclusion that it must need batteries and found the panel that would have the batteries but couldn’t get it open!

To finally own it as an almost 26 year old grown woman is astounding (although the term "grown woman" probably doesn't accurately describe me as I am like a big kid).My daughter and her friend kept leaning on the second floor with their hands and the support structure does NOT appear to be strong enough to handle much weight---it kept on creaking like the plastic was going to snap! The downside: (1) The bed is a plastic slab, (2) there's very little storage space for the little pieces, (3) the stickers tear easily when they are being applied, and (4) it's a little tricky to close it up. While Carbon-Zinc batteries may work well with low-power devices, they can drain after a short period of time and cause certain products to not function properly. Why go through the effort of bagging the house when it already has a handy cardboard shroud to keep it from getting dusty? The majority of the items here came from a random doll lot I purchased at the flea market, which also came with the two chairs and the end table.

This is one of the few boxes I actually have kept--the reason being that it holds the Talking Townhouse nicely inside.When I got home, I realized that it had been lightly played with--the chairs, couch, end table, and most of the accessories were gone. I was told when I purchased this house that it was still sealed, and had never been used by the seller's daughter.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Interestingly enough, I only got a few of these pieces with my actual talking Townhouse! My version came with two ‘Kohl’ dolls, which confuses the heck out of me, because Kohl is a brand on Stardoll, and the Stardoll dolls didn’t release until, what, 2009? Turning off the personalized advertising setting won’t stop you from seeing Etsy ads, but it may make the ads you see less relevant or more repetitive. Who would have ever guessed that I'd get a house sans chairs and end table, but that I'd already have those pieces waiting around in storage?
