Used it since she was 10 months old so she understood while the blue star was on it was night time and she was only allowed out of her cot when the sun came up, she's now almost 4 and we say if she's too awake to go back to sleep before the sun comes up, she is allowed to play in her room when there's 1 star left, any more and it's too early she needs to try and go back to sleep. As your child grows the sleep trainer can also be used as a handy nightlight for comfort and reassurance or for when your toddler needs a night-time toilet trip.

They can be very helpful for resolving early morning waking, bedtime delays and getting out of bed at night. You can set the clock to your own bed times and get up times so it is personal to your child, and then you can also set it to come on automatic or you can do it manually with your child. We have tried pretty much everything with J over the last 3 years and barely anything has actually worked, so I was delighted for us to be able to review The Gro Clock from The Gro Company as I have heard good things about them. So when The Gro Company were looking for bloggers to review another of their products, I put myself forward and was really excited when they picked me!

The Gro Clock is a visual aid for young children which can help to teach them when it is time to go to bed and to get up again. Some say the clock is effective for the little ones who are good sleepers already, but who like the star. time settings and audible alarm: With 2 settings you can set a different weekday, weekend or naptime wake up times and the optional audible alarm features is perfect for routine wake up times. As he’s gotten older, I’ve started letting him play quietly in his room if he wants, but luckily that doesn’t happen very often,” she says. The clock changes to night time (moon and blue face) at the set bedtime and then in the morning changes to day time (yellow and the sun).

We all know that an early day equals grumpy parents and grumpy children, especially if they have given up napping too like mine have. As the stars count down, they know it is almost time, and then with a big smile the sun arrives on the screen to signal that it is time to go and see mum and dad. And adults - especially those who've been woken at 5am by a child who thinks it's morning - will absolutely love it, too. The optional digital clock feature allows parents to also display the digital clock – ideal for when your little one starts to learn digital time.It did take me a few times to get used to selecting the different functions, but it’s easy to remember now. A sky full of dreams is our very special bedtime story where Bennie the Bear teaches Ollie the Owl all about the Groclock.

The Groclock uses fun images of the stars and sun to communicate when to go back to sleep and when it's time to spring out of bed. In this case, we’ll need to slowly push bedtime back by 5 mins every couple of nights as we adjust the morning time. Forget having an extra 60 minutes in bed when you’ve got a toddler, as her own personal body clock meant she was merrily chatting away at her normal time. The first night we used them I was eager to see how well it worked but unfortunately, the kiddies had been pressing the buttons while they were in bed and had reset the getting up time! I really want them to achieve this goal and get such an instant sense of achievement because we made it easy for them to do.

Getting your child to fall asleep and stay asleep is tricky and sleep problems like getting out of bed are unfortunately common.
