Sustained bright yellow gold color, small frank nose with a little white chocolate, cocoa, smoky wood tip, good balance on a fairly full-bodied rum, sweetness but lack of consistency, frank character but little marked, frank product, straight but without much peculiarity or character. This approach has allowed them to create one-of-a-kind rums, such as Cihuatán Xaman XO, uniquely finished in Mayan Ceiba casks.
