"Smallville" told the story of Clark Kent and his days before he became Superman.

In 2013 I wrote an article and created a poster outlining the evolution of Superman’s “S” Shield from 1938 to 2013. Artist Marshall Arisman would further refine the design to the version seen today. This modern version would first appear on the cover of “Superman #386” (August 1983) and remains in use today, not just on comic book covers, but across merchandising and promotional material.

Superman will fly forward. CHARGE to increase distance of flight. If he collides with an enemy while flying he will GRAB them and fly a short distance before punching them forward.

Superman uses ice breath that pushes enemies and applies ICE. As ICE increases, enemies are slowed and eventually FROZEN. Enemies can STRUGGLE and other enemies can hit them to free them. Allies and allied PROJECTILES in ice breath get ICE GAUNTLETS, making their next hit deal ICE. Enemy PROJECTILES caught in ice breath are either destroyed or frozen into an ITEM. In its original inception in Action Comics #1, Superman's symbol was a letter S with red and blue on a yellow police badge symbol that resembled a shield. The symbol was first changed a few issues later in Action Comics #7. The shield varied over the first few years of the comics, and many times was nothing more than an inverted triangle with an S inside of it. [1] [2]

For what we see, they just selected the Superman #1 version, made a slightly cleaner version and later changed the angles and straight lines into even much cleaner&softer curves.
