About this deal

Once she arrives in Florida, Waverly is forcefully introduced to her aunt's neighbor's good-looking son, Blake (described as white), who initially seems too cool for her company. I won’t say too much, but I just wanted to point out that I love where her story was taken in this book.

This is to simply put all the vividness, seaside, colors, a ghost of a father rescuing his daughter, and pockets of Australia that began to feel like a second home. But after her divorced parents can't agree on who gets to have her for the summer, Waverly gets shipped off to Holden, Florida, to spend a couple months with her aunt, Rachel. The boy mopes along, hovers around a bridge and spies a water-logged piece of newspaper emerge from a drain. This sweet summer romance, complete with a swoon-worthy boy next door, is begging to be thrown into your beach bag.I think it would be great to have a pile of paper on hand and make a bunch of stuff to play with after reading Float. Sadness is actually finding friendship in the moon, missing our parents’ childhoods, eating food that starts to taste better with company, and knowing that the sunset is something that doesn’t stop making you feel special because it happens everywhere, all at once, every day, for everyone. But when Blake discovers that Waverly has been hiding the rather embarrassing secret that she can't swim, he does the unthinkable: He offers to teach her.

We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. This summer, the battle rages over who she'll spend her vacation with, and when Waverly's options are shot down, it's bye-bye Fairbanks, Alaska and hello Holden, Florida to stay with her aunt. i enjoyed it alot, although it took me a month to finish this, it was a great read, i liked everything about it, the little friend group, the slow burn, it was great! She doesn't really have any friends, and she's never fit in with the interests of her divorced parents, college professors working in different areas of science. I am getting ready for a nice Christmas break and looking for a couple of new books to get into on float fishing.

like teenagers put up a tough front at times, but are truly just looking for someone to listen and talk to. As her deadline to depart approaches, and as family arguments threaten to explode, Waverly has to decide what is most important to her: looking cool or being true to herself. Blake also has a lot of issues with his stepmother in terms of both of them misunderstanding the other, and he finds out his girlfriend is cheating on him at the start of the book, so he has a lot of issues, but at least manages to not be super angsty over it for the most part. this book was very much targeted towards teens and not in an overly immature way, but more so a relatable way. Waverly’s Aunt Rachel, an artist, is super fun and is really just trying vaguely to figure out how to be a guardian.
