Alexa Crowe is a fearless investigator who has never complained about her job. She is labeled as the mastermind who is capable of solving several complex cases. You mentioned earlier these haughty people who deserve their comeuppance in the show. It reminded me of the stable episode where you had some really funny lines about horse semen and a "jizz fridge". Was it challenging to deliver those moments with a straight face? It’s quite something to tell that story in a way that’s really accessible to your average Joe, because they don’t want to be lectured. They’re there for a good time. But you don’t want to confuse them either because then they’ll switch off. You want to see people get their comeuppance, right? It’s much more fun seeing a rich guy who murdered somebody being taken to jail than a poor guy who murdered somebody being taken to jail – that’s no fun at all. The entire show changed location after season one. Do you feel more settled in the New Zealand location now you're two seasons into it? It's a far cry from "a time of ancient gods, warlords and kings," when Lawless fought and killed thousands as Xena. But actually, her character on My Life is Murder, Alexa Crowe, isn't as far removed from the Warrior Princess as you might think.
