I don't use this phrase lightly, but the novel of this manhwa(Chinese comic) is a literary masterpiece ! Although there are things different in the book from the anime it is the same way books to movies go.

The main characters are nice enough to like and relate to and the secondary characters are also good and well-written. In the end, he was backstabbed by his dearest shidi and killed by powerful clans that combined to overpower him. someone didn't realize that cover is shown xia zhi's and fei gei's face so I think it must have second season or final one.The longing, the deep and pure love was so palpable there that I was torn between want to watch it or too embarrassed to watch it yet at the same time also holding myself not to scream like mad girl. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

The only thing I have to say is that this CN version is censored (missing panel of WY kiss) so I will have to get the TW version. I am so thankful that this story is available in all forms; the original novels ( 魔道祖师 Mó Dào Zǔ Shī ), audio drama, live action, donghua and manhua adaptations. I also like that there are times the manhua is an adaptation in itself and doesn’t follow the book but tries to fill gaps and details to build on character and the world. The magic system was very interesting especially with the introduction of instruments as tools of magic. As the grandmaster who founded the Demonic Sect, Wei WuXian roamed the world in his wanton ways, hated by millions for the chaos he created.

He incarnates into the body of a lunatic who was abandoned by his clan and is later, unwillingly, taken away by a famous cultivator among the clans—Lan WangJi, his archenemy. He is my comfort character and I have a room in my heart dedicated to Wuxian and Zhanji, my favourite couple. The charter's are well fleshed out and unique and even the bad guy's aren't 100% evil, their complex and compelling, the same goes for the good guys, nobody is faultless or blameless and it makes you think about what is right and what is wrong?

Maybe start from manhua first so you get the idea who is who and to see if you like it or not before you dive deeper into its novel. We will not be releasing GDC in pdf/Mobi/epub as we have found them on sites where others are making money from our hard work. I read it at Exiled Rebels Scanlations as it is been translated so you don't have to know a different language to read it. For me, it was more the way the characters are drawn but now that you mention it, I can see definitely see what you mean about the colouring. I haven't watched its premiere but I'm currently following The Coming One III show, singing competition, there's Hua Chenyu (my favorite genius artist-singer-musician) in it as mentor, so I watched the premiere of this show's newest episode and wow it's a great experience to watch it live with so many people together and live chat with them.
