Sam is an entertainment writer with NCTJ accreditation and a twenty-year career as a film journalist. As the game progresses you'll gain access to half a dozen characters with specific roles to fill, and the missions that you take on become more and more elaborate. The big problem with Mastermind is that the game ends just as it is becoming interesting from a gameplay perspective, and so while the last couple of levels do occasionally hit some high notes, they're the exception rather than the rule. Your performance on each of Peaky Blinders: Mastermind’s levels is gauged by how long it takes to complete the level in spent time. While a level might take 20 minutes to complete a level, rewinding a refining your path and puzzle solving, the spent time might be only 3 minutes long. Judged at Gold, Silver or Bronze, you’ll need everything to be flawless for the highest rewards. Speaking previously to Digital Spy about the relationship between Linda and Arthur, Kate said: "I definitely feel like there's a lot of unfinished business there. They share a child together. There's definitely no chance Arthur would let Linda get away with Billy, so they're tied together, with the family connection, and obviously family is a big connection in Peaky Blinders.

Sam has also interviewed several comic creators, including Stan Lee, Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, and he has a zombie cameo in The Walking Dead comic. The timeline will come in handy as you’ll need to reference it often, as knowing what exact time a character will take action helps tremendously. For example, a particular character may not be able to proceed until a door is opened by a lever being pulled. Therefore, you could control one character to pull down the lever, reverse in time where the timeline displays the lever being pulled, switch characters and walk through the door with that desired character. After each level is completed it is ranked by either bronze, silver or gold by how fast you complete the level. Consequently, you’ll have to master the reversing time ability if you want to achieve the perfect score. The gameplay may sound complicated but it’s not too taxing for the mind, for the most part, it’s a fun brain-teaser that will make you think for a minute or two before moving onto the next puzzle segment, even if pulling levers down for doors isn’t the most exciting gameplay in the world.

Not [as] Al Capone – I didn't want to go west because it's a minefield once you go into Chicago gangsters," Knight said during an episode of the Obsessed With... Peaky Blinders podcast. "I referred to him last series, but I didn't want to go into that." Before that, he held roles as Editor, Deputy Editor, and Associate Editor focusing on news, social, and video.Laurence hosted the BBC Sounds podcast Obsessed with Peaky Blinders in 2019, as well as his own podcast production, Time of My Life, where he interviews fascinating elders about their life lessons, including Only Fools and Horses' Sir David Jason, Star Trek’s George Takei and Bridgerton’s Adjoa Andoh. Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is developed by FuturLab and as the game’s name suggests, it’s a strategic puzzle adventure. Let’s be real, the majority of us fans would have envisioned a Peaky Blinders game going down a different genre path. However, it’s not the strangest avenue to peruse for the gangster drama. For people unfamiliar with the show, our protagonist, Thomas Shelby’s, main strengths rest in his mad smarts and wit. He’s able to strategize a multifaceted plan to get the upper hand in any situation. Therefore, a game in this direction has potential. On that account, I entered playing Peaky Blinders: Mastermind with a completely open mind.

Sometimes you have control of multiple characters and to complete your objective you have to work them all at the same time, to a deadline and in unison. It’s here that the time mechanic really comes into its own, maybe you need to hold a door open for Ada or distract a guard, you can only control one character at once so bend time you must. After you have say, held a door open with one character, you can rewind time then select an alternate character and walk them to the door in unison with the first character you manoeuvred. It’s completely brilliant in action and so rewarding. Yes, you can pet the dog in Peaky Blinders: Mastermind. Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is set right before the first season of the TV show, you take control of the Shelby clan as you play out the rise of Tommy through ten missions. What starts out innocent enough, well, innocent for a criminal gang, soon turns nasty when you discover a sinister plot to put the family out of business – forcing Tommy to stand up and become the Mastermind behind stopping these events and getting revenge on those involved. One issue, which I found on two occasions, was where the ‘programmed’ characters broke free of what I told them to do. One of them walked into a wall, instead of through a door – breaking their future events – and another simply stopped moving. Now, this could be because another character triggered a new event that got in the way of this original person (butterfly effect), or it could be that Skynet is true and the AI has gained a life of its own and decided to disobey my commands. Either way, the mechanics are great but not perfect 100% of the time (in my experience).Laurence has been a broadcasting contributor on television and radio, including KISS, Heat Radio, BBC Radio London, Radio 5 Live, and BBC Breakfast. But I think now we're coming to the final two series, I'm going to relax and open the gates a bit because there's some amazing people who want to be in it, and I think why not." The soldier’s minute: in a battle, that’s all you get. One minute of everything at once. And anything before is nothing. Everything after: nothing. Nothing in comparison to that one minute.” Jim Carrey once mistook Sam for Johnny Cash, and John Carpenter told him to ‘Keep up the good work.’ He promises to try his best.
