CA colour distortion/flare appears to be well controlled when viewing the Moon (and bright street lights) and is not noticeable under normal conditions.

The Bushnell Natureview 6x30 looks like one such model (though we are moving further from the original 8x40 spec |=)| ). I wear glasses, and I know from the Olympus which has 12mm eye relief that it's about the minimum which works for me: so that would rule out the Vixen 2.Then once you have this short list, I would narrow them down to the final choice by looking at the featue=res that are most important to you. I didn't do side by side comparison, but general impression to my eyes is roughly the same in binoculars I have tried: Olympus Trooper 10x50, Bushnell Legacy 10x50, Nikon Aculon 8x42, Nikon Action Extreme 7x35.

Enjoy outdoor adventures with the Olympus 8×40 DPSI Binocular and treat your eyes with great viewing experience. Thanks for the input guys much appreciated, its pointing towards the 10x50s i think, i mentioned the 8x40 simply because i have read on here and other sites how light the 8x40s are in any make or model and are a pleasure to look through but i havnt actually looked through a set of that size so cannot compare the view or weight difference, i do know i had a peep through some old Minolta standard extra wide view 10x50s which were left in a holiday cabin for guests and i really liked the view on them but a bit harder to find at the moment.

I'm still waiting for a properly clear night to have a decent look around but so far I can recommend them. I find the seen of the sky, Manikeshwarnagar and Osmania University are really nice from the roof of the hostel of our university. Yep, I've been looking at the tests the binos guru EdZ has filed on the forum, and as far as I can figure out he says that there were only two or three pairs that had edge sharpness out of the many hundreds he has reviewed: the very very expensive ones!

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I was having a look at your binocular list and I noticed some serious wide angle models which are very interesting. I was looking at that size on their info sheet and noticed that it had over 9° FOV , but maybe the reduction in aperture would reduce the brightness? A wide field of view makes locating a subject quicker and easier, especially when tracking fast moving subjects such as birds and animals. Can only second what Semour suggest, loads of stuff on Gear Guide but yours is a very limited budget. However as I have not looked through the Olympus or compared them I can’t be completely, but it is something that I have often witnessed with similar types of comparisons. Two 8x40ish porros that offer some level of water resistance from Bushnell are the Legacy WP and the H2O models. I expect they are likely to be more expensive than the Olympus DPSI though likely less than the waterproof Nikon Action EX model.

The Olympus 8x40 DPS is a pair of high-quality leisure binoculars created to be user-friendly and portable, and to deliver accurate and detailed vision in indoor and outdoor settings. after PhilR mentioned about waterproof, I was thinking a bit, and I saw the Olympus Exps 1 it is expensive. No matter whether you are trekking, hiking, camping, wildlife tour, bird-watching or any other outdoor activity, this high quality binocular is an ideal companion for all your adventurous excursions.Fully Multi-Coated” optics is ideal as ALL the glass surfaces have received Multiple layers of anti-reflection coatings which usually results in a transmission level of approx.
