Something important almost got lost in the fireworks of the Galaxy S21 unveiling – Samsung is launching two new S Pens, including a Pro model. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G supports both, in fact, you can use any current or old S Pen (so if you have an old Note laying around, you can use its stylus). Whether you’re using a Galaxy S23 Ultra, the rugged Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro or another device, the advanced stylus is built for the new way you work — anywhere, anytime. By incorporating the S Pen into your workflow, you can bring your note-taking to the digital age, enjoying brand-new levels of productivity. We're going to need more detailed information from Samsung before we know the full scope of the Galaxy S Pen vs. S Pen Pro differences. Basic features

It seems the S Pen Pro does have those features, though, to bring the full Note functionality to the Galaxy S series. Perhaps there are more perks the S Pen Pro brings, that will be unveiled then the product is released, but we don't know just yet. Samsung was content to tease us that the more premium stylus exists, but we'll have to wait until they release more info to lay out just how it differs from the standard S Pen we know and love. That's not the case with other devices' S Pens, and it's to prevent you from poking holes in the Fold's screen. The Note 20's S Pen has a Bluetooth connection to your phone so you can use it as a remote control, including as a remote shutter button for the camera. If you want that feature on the Fold, you need to get the S Pen Pro, which is too large to fit in a case with the phone. This pen charges when it's inside the body of the phone.
